Service design &
UX / UI design

Service Design

Service design is meant to identify and solve issues while relying on both business knowledge of stakeholders and user insights.

My related skills :

  • Context analysis
  • Insights - stakeholders and users interviews
  • Personas
  • Experience map
  • Identifying key issues and finding solutions
  • Conducting participative workshops
  • New experience map

User interface design

The solutions identified during the service design phase often take shape as interfaces (mobile app, website, interactive terminal...). Designing those interfaces require three kind of skills : UX design, UI design and Interaction Design.

UX design

My related skills :

  • Information architecture : chosing and organizing content
  • User path : identifying the user tasks and the different paths leading to the achieve it
  • Zonings : first macro version of the content layout
  • Navigation : thinking about spacial design and navigation pattern
  • Wireframes : representing a more precise version of the UI with real content in it
  • Interactive prototype : creating the most realistic prototype possible, allowing a client or a tester to go through all the tasks. The prototype can be low or high definition, depending on the project's progress and what we're trying to achieve.
  • User tests : selecting the right panel of users, writting a test protocol, animating the test sessions, debriefing and implementing the appropriate modifications.

My tools :

  • Paper and markers
  • Balsamiq
  • Illustrator
  • Sketch
  • Axure
  • FramerJS
  • HTML + CSS + Javascript

UI design

My related skills :

I'm able to create a iterate on a simple design, but I won't venture into artistic direction or creating complex artworks (except for my own pleasure!).

My tools :

  • Photoshop
  • Gimp
  • Sketch

Interaction design

Spacial design, navigation pattern, refined interactions: interaction design should be omnipresent through a project, from the zoning phase to the graphic design.

A digital experience in not complete without a real reflexion on movement, navigation, feedbacks we give the user for all his actions. Intercation design can make a UI more real, more vivid, more tangible. It allows us designers to play with the user's instincts in order to improve the understanding of what happens in and out of the screen.
